The Tanakas (C) - Round 6

This round starts off with some cuteness. Kimi invited Takeru's dad over for a date, and the two got to bond a little bit.

Donte stayed for Take's birthday, since he was there, and since it was time for the little boy to grow up.

He grew into a handsome boy that very much resembled both of his parents.

He definitely had his mothers eyes, and his cheekbones were a toss-up between the two.

Kimi took up a new hobby since she had some free time.

And Take took up some hobbies that were similiar to his mom's interests.

Music and cuisine both fascinated him as they did her.

Take and his mom actually got along quite well. It had always just been the two of them, and they'd grown to be friends in addition to mother and son.

Take turned out to be a supremely neat and playful child, with some of his mother's outgoing qualities, and he was pleasant to be around.

In fact, he seemed to make friends quickly at school, bringing home a friend almost as soon as he started middle school: Marquez Villalobos.

They instantly hit it off, in no small part due to the fact that Takeru's house had such neat toys: a big-screen tv, a piano, a telescope, a guitar.

By the time Marquez left that night, the two were fast friends.

After that, it was time for homework, and Kimi always carved a sufficient block out of her schedule to be able to help Takeru when and where he needed it.

As Takeru grew bigger, Kimi thought it was time for their home to grow bigger. With all the money she'd made in her two successful careers, she purchased a new, large modern home for them.

There was plenty of space for both of them, with a bedroom and balcony upstairs for Kimi and a bedroom downstairs for Takeru. All their things fit perfectly and they no longer felt quite so cramped. They both loved the house.

Kimi also decided, with agreement from Takeru, that it was time to try to get him into private school. He was so bright and such a hard worker that he was bored in his normal public school classes, and so they invited the headmaster as soon as they got moved in.

Takeru, outgoing as always, ran outside and greeted the man happily.

The headmaster seemed quite taken with Takeru, finding him bright and entertaining and skilled - especially in his musical talents.

The headmaster had already heard of Kimi, obviously, with her celebrity chef status, and he couldn't stop raving about her food.

Takeru was obviously a shoe-in, and the headmaster happily welcomed him at the end of the night. Kimi and Take celebrated with some Baked Alaska.

The next day, Take made new friends quickly at Rosebud Academy. In fact, he discovered that his cousin Cosmo also attended the Academy.

He brought Cosmo home with him that day so they could play in the cavernous new house. It was the perfect space for Cops & Robbers.

It was definitely a boon for them to be at the same school now.

A great opportunity presented itself for Kimi - the opportunity to go on a cooking show and strut her stuff. By trusting her instinct and skill, she earned $25,000 for the family, which went right into the coffers.

But as always, despite the move, the new school, and the large bonus, Kimi and Take stuck together, spending a little time each night to eat together and work on his homework.

Bloopers:
A glitch I won't complain about. // Not a blooper, but I was kind of surprised that Take recognized Cosmo as a relative. Cool beans.

The Tanakas (B) - Round 6

Last round, Stella and Mariko's prayers were finally answered, and they were blessed with a new baby boy - Cosmo - who took after both of his mothers and was sweet as pie. Mariko in particular couldn't stop stroking his soft skin and cuddling him to her. Her mother had always been an inspiration to her, and now she could be the same for little Cosmo.

Stella, as brilliant as she was at everything, took to mothering like a fish to water. Cosmo always calmed down when Stella was there, seeming to naturally draw from her easy and loving manner.

Things weren't all perfect, of course. Mariko accidentally started a grease fire in the kitchen one day and was forced to call the fire department to help her put it out.

They got there in time that nothing but their dinner and Mari's pride were burnt, though she swore to be infinitely more careful in the future. They couldn't risk that kind of accident with Cosmo in the house now.

Mariko's sister Kimi came by to see her new nephew and cooed over him for a long time. Stella and Mariko felt like life couldn't get any better, even if they weren't on the fast track to their new lifetime wants.

Before they knew it, Cosmo's infant days were over, and it was time for him to become a toddler. He blew out the candles...

...and transformed into a handsome little toddler who definitely showed facial traits of both his Mommy Mariko, in his brown almond-shaped eyes, and his Mommy Stella, in his black hair and skin tone.

He was a friendly, active little toddler who loved nothing more than to play all day, by himself or with one of his mommies.

He was a quick learner too, learning all of his toddler skills within a day or two of first attempting them.

After a few long weeks of hunting, Stella and Mariko both managed to find jobs in their new chosen fields as well, quitting their old jobs and turning over new leaves.

Stella, ever the over-achiever, managed to reach the top of her field and reach her second lifetime want after one week of work. Mariko had a little bit more work to do, but it didn't matter - they were all so happy.

Stella even began to develop new interests, finding that she cared less about striving endlessly to achieve goals outside the home and caring more about spending some romantic time with her beautiful partner.

Mariko quickly got promoted in her field, professional that she was.

And Stella started spending some of her off time renewing her interest in tinkering, finally earning her gold robotics badge.

Despite their love of him while he was so tiny, Cosmo couldn't stay small forever.

It was soon time for another birthday, and Stella carried him to the cake to blow out the candles.

He grew seemingly before their eyes into a friendly, chipper young boy.

"He'll be a heartbreaker one day," Mariko said, sighing happily, and Stella kissed her cheek and could do nothing but agree.

Bloopers:
Stella, honestly, I can't leave you alone for a minute.

The Tanakas (A) - Round 6

Last round, we left Jiro and Linda in the house alone, enjoying their time with some well-deserved woohoo after the loss of Yuuna. And it looks like they won't have the house to themselves for long...

Jiro, in true Jiro fashion, wanted to make Linda an honest woman (at least in legal terms), and he didn't want a fat bride, so he was quick to propose shortly after they found out about the pregnancy.

Linda, who hadn't been sleeping with anyone but Jiro for some time (though she still enjoyed a nice date or two), accepted.

Shortly thereafter, they invited Mariko and Kimi to come watch them tie the knot.

It was a beautiful, mild winter day, and the ceremony went off without a hitch.

Aww, twin bad memories. They really were meant for one another.

The party went great, and Stella even managed to pop by for part of it. It was a roaring success, despite Linda having to excuse herself part-way through and go lie down.

Bloop! She was showing in no time.

Jiro continued to have "outings" with co-workers, which he classified in his head as "networking" in order to soothe what little conscience he had about dating while his wife was at home pregnant with his child.

Despite their mutual infidelity, Jiro and Linda really did get along well. They spent many an evening in the redesigned nursery, singing duets on their karaoke machine and playing with the various other toys their extraordinary salaries allowed.

Jiro stumbled into some good luck, which increased their family coffers enough to ensure their new baby would be able to go to college with no problems.

Bloop! As winter went on, Linda was disgusted with the changes in her formerly fit-as-a-fiddle body, though she had to admit, she was looking forward to having a little one to take care of and carry on the family.

Jiro busied himself when he wasn't at work or on networking missions rekindling his interest in tinkering. With two romance sims in the house, the SentryBot really came in handy for preventing stolen newspapers and kicked-over trashcans.

One night while she was pigging out on some spaghetti, Linda's water broke. The baby was coming.

Shortly thereafter, a little baby boy was born with her skin tone and her lovely blue eyes. He was definitely more of a Mazza than a Tanaka, but it didn't matter. He was theirs.

They thought he was the handsomest baby they'd ever seen, not short at all on ego or parental pride.

In honor of their careers as Hall of Famers, they named the new boy Homer.

They even decorated his new room in true sportsfan fashion, baseball rug and all.

And even though both of them hated the idea of being married, both loved little Homer with all their hearts.
