Last time in the Vinci-Chin household, there were three birthdays: Gretchen aged into an elder, and Sadie and Cole both aged into teenagers. Bitsy had her first spot of bad luck with a job: she got demoted, but she quickly regained her status in the journalism career. Craig continued to slowly climb the ladder in the criminal career, still trying to achieve his LTW of becoming a criminal mastermind. And Gretchen started work on her second LTW: to become a Game Designer. Let's check back in with them.

Bitsy, after her setback last season, was a bit anxious about making decisions at the office, especially since it meant she might lose her job altogether this time if she made the wrong choice.

Fortunately, her luck seemed to have returned, and her wise decision on how to handle a problem with a journalist below her. The company rewarded her with a whopping 37,000 simoleons!

Not only did she get a bonus, but she was shocked when her boss informed her she would officially be promoted to the position of media magnate. She had achieved her second lifetime want!

Craig, too, came home with good news, which was a relief to his family. He really seemed to struggle with his job, and sometimes Gretchen wasn't sure if it was due to the nature of the work or Craig himself. Regardless, it was nice to see him finally having some real success.

Another promotion followed shortly afterwards, and everyone in the household felt buoyed by Craig's finally seeming to be on the right path.

In the meantime, Bitsy was ready to move onto the next step in her life. Since she would be around forever, she figured she might as well make the best of it and try everything there was to try. She thought that next, she might like to try being the Hand of Poseidon. Sure, she'd have to worry about rust damage, but she was confident she could do it.

Luckily for her, there was a position open right away as a Dread Pirate. She couldn't rock the eyepatch without being completely blind, but at least she got to have a cool parrot like Henry, R.I.P.

Gretchen came home with her final promotion from work with a bonus and a very cool new title to add: Game Designer. She'd been a mad scientist, a mom, and now was a game designer. She may have been an elder, but she was still kicking.

The whole house celebrated with all the career success going on, and Bitsy even got down on the dance floor with Sadie and Cole.

Gretchen could have easily found a new job if she'd wanted to, but at her age, she was perfectly content making products that would entertain children. And if she could broaden their minds a bit at the same time (by, say, including aliens in honor of Cole), then she would do that too.

Craig seemed to be on a roll. In his free time from work, he kept up his painting hobby and managed to maximize his interest in the arts. Now they not only had three full-time incomes to support the house and go into the kids' college funds, but they also had the profits from Craig's fairly successful paintings.

More promotions rolled in and Craig got a new outfit. Bitsy didn't, but then again, clothes didn't fit her very well anyway.

If the family didn't know better, it would have almost seemed as though Bitsy and Craig were in a race of late to see who could achieve goals and keep up or surpass the other. Shortly after Craig maximized his skill in painting, Bitsy maximized her skill in robotics. Maybe she could make herself a mate...

Gretchen, fresh from the success of achieving her second lifetime goal, decided that she had enough time left for at least one more. If she could become an expert in all the basic skills, she would consider herself to have had a more successful life than most anyone she knew. Besides, it would be fun.

Sadie and Cole were lucky enough to have a snow day that winter thanks to a freak blizzard that snuck up on Rosebud. They spent the day upstairs exercising, trying to get fit for spring sports.

By the end of a very long day of yoga and jump rope, both had managed to get pretty fit. Though Sadie informed her brother that he REALLY needed to get a new workout outfit.

And with the success of the adults in the house, the kids decided that maybe they should give the workforce a chance too. They were coming up on junior and senior year of high school, and they needed the experience for when they graduated and eventually got out in the real world. Besides, spending money would be nice, too... Careers ruled the day that winter, but everyone was perfectly happy with that fact.

[[Author's Notes: This family is not boring, but it's definitely drama-free. They have a crap-ton of money and a crap-ton of friends. Nothing more to add, and no bloopers! I think the teens are heading off to college next round...or at least Sadie, maybe. We'll see. Anyway, on to the Clearys!]]

A very productive family!

Wow -- that's a lot of bonuses coming in the house. I can't wait to see Sadie all grown up :)

It was a boring but productive round, that's for sure!

Liz, I KNOW! I hope she's as pretty as a YA as she is as a teen!
